Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Cook to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food safety, meal preparation, and kitchen management. As the Head Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring that our standards for quality and safety are consistently met.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health regulations. Plan menus in collaboration with management, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock. Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen procedures. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and storage spaces.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team preferred. Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality meals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
