About Volleybox Sports Centre
At Volleybox Sports Centre, we are dedicated to growing the game of volleyball by serving over 600 athletes annually. Our mission is to provide a training environment where athleticism, teamwork, and personal growth thrive. We are seeking a Head Coach - Volleyball Programs (Full-Time or Part-Time) who will provide leadership across all training programs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for every athlete.
Role Summary
The Head Coach is a program leader, not just a team coach. This role requires someone with the ability to direct training for large groups, guide other coaches, and shape the long-term vision of youth volleyball development at Volleybox. The successful candidate will combine on-court excellence with strong program management skills to build a pathway for athletes that aligns with our long-term athlete development principles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all volleyball training programs, ensuring sessions are age-appropriate, progressive, and aligned with LTAD principles.
Develop, monitor, and adjust training curricula to maximize athlete development and engagement.
Track athlete progress and communicate effectively with parents and athletes on development goals.
Mentor and oversee part-time coaching staff, providing training, feedback, and accountability.
Manage program operations including scheduling, registration, and delivery of seasonal camps and clinics.
Collaborate with leadership on program budgeting, growth strategies, and long-term planning.
Partner with schools, clubs, and community groups to expand the reach of Volleybox programs.
Support marketing and community engagement efforts to promote programs and recruit athletes.
Maintain program quality and continuity in the absence of senior leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or two-year college diploma.
Significant volleyball coaching experience, including leadership in youth or club-level programs.
Proven ability to run large group sessions and create a high-energy, engaging training environment.
Strong program management skills with experience in scheduling, staff oversight, or budgeting.
Flexible and adaptive coaching style, capable of adjusting drills and sessions on the spot.
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to guide and develop assistant coaches.
Required Certifications
Valid First Aid certification
Valid driver's license
Salary and Growth
Salary range: $64,000 - $78,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
