The Long Shot Pub is located at the Christina Lake Motel and RV Park. We are a new pub that is super busy in the summers and then we are slower in the off season.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate Head Chef/Manager to join our team at The Long Shot Pub in Christina Lake, BC. In this pivotal role, you will lead our kitchen operations including working the line, ensuring high-quality food preparation and service that aligns with our values of authenticity and community spirit.

Responsibilities

Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking. Manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain inventory levels and manage food costs effectively. Train new kitchen staff on procedures and best practices. Collaborate with management to plan special events and catering services. Uphold the company's values in all aspects of kitchen operations. Work the line daily during busy periods. Evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef/Manager or similar role in the food industry. Strong supervisory skills with experience managing a team. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards. Ability to create innovative menus that cater to diverse tastes. Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration. Experience in restaurant management is a plus. Passion for hospitality and commitment to providing exceptional service.
