Pelham Hills Pub is a newly renovated culinary experience located at Pelham Hills Golf Club in Welland, Ontario. The Club offers a challenging 18 hole, par 71 golf course that is admired for its scenery, landscape, and design. Pelham Hills beautifully landscaped grounds incorporate the natural beauty of our tree-lined fairways, wooded ravines, natural creeks, rolling hills, and natural foliage all set in Pelham. The Club is a year-round facility with a seasonal golf course, dining, and 3 state of the art Golf Simulators adjacent to the Pelham Hills Pub experience.
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on hospitality and restaurant operations. As the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and staff management while ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage food costs effectively.
Train and supervise kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food preparation, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Stay updated on industry trends, new cooking techniques, and seasonal ingredients.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role within the food service or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and guests.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu design and presentation.
