About Us:

At Bar Willow, Regina's only waterfront restaurant on Wascana Lake, we are passionate about food and hospitality. In the wintertime we offer 50 seats but in the summer our deck expands to accommodate 175 guests. Our restaurant has a bright focus on the vibrant and rich flavours of the Mediterranean and Mexico, emphasizing fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and bold, aromatic flavors. Do you like seafood? Well we do! Plus local favourites like bison from Quill Creek Farms and ingredients produced all around Saskatchewan. Our wine list? Well we think it's awesome with a focus on special order items available to us exclusively. Specialty dining events? Lights Out Dining Dinners, Winemaker Events & Beer Collaboration Dinners, Corporate Groups and Weddings... yep, lots to organize! As a small business our guests are important, but also important are our staff. As we head through our 21st year in operation, from head chef, to the dish crew and right through the front of house service team, we operate more like a family. Saskatchewan hospitality is the goal! We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef to join our team and help us deliver on that promise.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Chef to lead our kitchen team and ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. As Head Chef at Bar Willow, you will play an essential role in crafting inspired dishes and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. If you have a love for food, a flair for creativity, and a passion for delivering hospitality, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and cook a variety of restaurant themed inspired dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Develop and design new menu items that reflect the flavours and traditions of our restaurant identity. Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control. Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory, and staff supervision. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff to maintain consistent food quality and kitchen efficiency. Manage food costs and minimize waste while maintaining high-quality standards. Stay up-to-date on culinary trends and ingredients.

Qualifications:



Proven experience as a chef or sous chef in a professional kitchen. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavours. Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of food quality.

Pay: $44,789.28-$69,491.01 per year
