We are seeking a skilled, passionate and creative
Head Chef
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in a la carte service and private events and weddings.
With the aim of making Camelot a destination for weddings and private events, while serving our members an ever evolving, inspiring cuisine, a particular focus on food preparation, cleanliness & presentation will be required at all times.
As a Head Chef at Camelot, you will directly influence the Member's impression of the club, and as a result you hold yourself to high standards and sound Management.
You will be reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Develop and create innovative menu items while maintaining high-quality standards and consistency
Manage inventory, ordering, and food costing to ensure profitability
Train and supervise kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or promotions
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a private club setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen management, cost management (scheduling and waste control)
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Creative menu-engineering skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Extensive experience with catering & events (weddings and banquets)
Must be able to maintain appropriate food costs and stock rotation
Must maintain a positive, orderly and clean appearance in and around their workplace
