Join The Chartroom Sports Bar team as the Head Bartender, contributing to our warm, Arctic charm and passion for sports. We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the Bar Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our community sports bar, creating an inviting space for residents in Iqaluit to gather, enjoy sports, and build connections.

Responsibilities:

Assist in fostering a sense of community among staff and locals through effective leadership Contribute to developing strategies to enhance sales while embracing the unique Arctic character of The Chartroom Support in curating and managing a thoughtful beverage menu, considering local tastes and preferences Collaborate with the Bar Manager to train and inspire staff to provide friendly service, especially during community events Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and uphold responsible beverage service Assist in managing inventory efficiently, coordinating local orders, and building relationships with suppliers Contribute to collaborating with local events to promote community engagement and attract patrons Address community feedback promptly under the guidance of the Bar Manager Uphold the inviting atmosphere that defines our place in the vibrant community of Iqaluit

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a community-driven setting Understanding of Iqaluit's community dynamics, local preferences, and sports culture Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the Bar Manager and staff Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and practical inventory management Ability to contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment within the unique context of Iqaluit Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, aligning with local events and sports schedules Passion for delivering exceptional customer service within the culturally rich setting of Iqaluit
