Sony Electronics is seeking a Business Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Home Entertainment and Sound (PEA & HEA) (Fixed Term). This is approximately a 12 month position.

This individual:

Designs, develops and implements marketing programs and/or pricing strategies to support a particular product, service or market sector

Takes responsibility for launching and positioning of products/services in a sector via specific marketing strategies and media (e.g., Internet, press, television, radio)

Works closely with sales and technical teams to identify marketing strategies and programs.

Solves complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist; takes a new perspective using existing solutions, uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes

Works independently

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience, often leads the work of project teams; may formally train junior staff

Additional responsibilities:

Directs the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) , product line(s) or service(s), including product/service strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.

Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product/service positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share.

Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product/service marketing plans.

Confer with clients to provide marketing or technical advice. Monitor and analyze sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns.

Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning.

Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts and to transact business as agent for advertising accounts.

Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to field staff and customers.

Direct, motivate, and monitor the mobilization of a campaign team to advance campaign goals.

Plan and execute advertising policies and strategies for organizations.

Track program budgets and expenses and campaign response rates to evaluate each campaign based on program objectives and industry norms.

Minimum Requirements

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience (3+ years in similar role) with full inventory planning and go to market strategy responsibility
