Site- Heavy Duty Mechanic

to join our crew and help keep our fleet running strong on critical projects across Saskatchewan.

Logistics

Shift - 2 weeks on , 2 weeks off

Travel - Fly in/Fly out - flights are from Saskatoon to site and back. Candidates will be responsible to get themselves to the Saskatoon airport.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the HD Mechanic will assist with diagnosing, repairing and maintaining our heavy equipment at various job sites.

Summary of the duties

- Maintain and Repair equipment located at site including rock trucks, excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, telehandlers, skidsteers, scrapers and other machinery.

- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on equipment

- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

- Conduct welding, fabrication, and part replacements as necessary.

- Maintain accurate service records and document repairs in compliance with company policies.

- Communicate effectively with customers, operators, and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair timelines.

- Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and company policies while working on-site.

Requirements

- Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certification;

- Class 5 driver's license;

- Analytical problem solving skills;

- Strong oral and written communication skills;

- Experience with HD equipment computer software programs

Conditions of Employment

- Pre-employment substance test

- Verification of experience and certificates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
