Due to an overwhelming response in rural communities , We are looking for workers in rural Alberta including St. Paul . We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, including seniors and persons with disabilities. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring that dietary needs are met and meals are nutritious. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Support clients with mobility challenges by assisting them in moving around safely. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.

Skills

Experience in caregiving or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential. Familiarity with dementia care techniques is highly desirable. Ability to provide senior care with compassion and respect for individual dignity. Experience working with persons with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. A clean driving record may be required if transportation of clients is part of the role.
