Job Overview

Seeking an HCA for a MALE client, seeking an HCA of the same gender. As a Home Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position is ideal for those who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Support clients with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Provide care for individuals with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care.

Skills

Strong caregiving skills with a focus on empathy and patience. Experience in dementia care, home care, nursing home, or assisted living environments is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care standards. Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
