Role and Responsibilities

Hardware Technician - Electrical (Evening, night or weekend)

Responsibilities:

  • Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software problems originating in both the flight training devices and facility.
  • Perform logistical/administrative duties as required.
  • Ensures that the work is carried out in accordance with the prescriptions, the technical drawings, the manuals, the policies and procedures, the quality standards, as well as the regulations in force.
  • Fixe Shift work (evening, night or weekend - 3 days)
Your Profile:
  • DEC in electronics, electromechanics or any related position.
  • Technical diploma in aviation or electronics or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Thorough understanding of computer/simulator architecture, particularly relationships between system components.
  • Ability to manipulate software to debug, troubleshoot, update and compile code for use in a flight simulator application.
  • Very good troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how to use electronic testing equipment.
  • Ability to learn and apply skills in the flight simulator environment in order to maintain and operate all required equipment.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly for technical information.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a dynamic technical team.
  • Experience in flight simulator or aviation environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of simulator systems, international regulations for flight training devices and the aviation/aerospace business an asset.
