HARDWARE DESIGNER

The engineering team is the creative force behind the highly successful Thrustmaster/Hercules product line. We are looking for a Hardware Designer to join our team. This position involves the design, development and maintenance of the electronics of all Thrustmaster and Hercules products. The candidate must have solid experience in both digital and analog circuits, a passion for solving complex technical challenges, and a rigorous approach to managing electronics across multiple simultaneous projects. The candidate must be able to respond and work on several products at once under tight deadlines and communicate effectively orally and in writing in a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities



Understand marketing requirements and specifications of a new product. Analyze and evaluate component datasheets and perform necessary calculations. Create corresponding electrical schematics and work closely with PCB layout designers and firmware developers. Debug and validate electronic board prototypes using surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components. Collaborate and find solutions with Field Application Engineers (FAEs) from various component manufacturers. Participate in lab certification testing for electromagnetic compatibility (FCC, CE, KS, etc.). Provide all documents and files (e.g. BOM, schematics and Gerbers) for production setup with the manufacturers. Design test boards for production. Support and respond to requests for electronic changes and corrections for production.

Desired profile



University degree in Electrical Engineering. Member in good standing of the OIQ. 3 years of experience in the similar position. Strong knowledge of analog technologies (e.g. audio, RF) and digital protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, I2S, USB). Proficient with CAD software such as Orcad-X Capture, Allegro Cadence PCB Layout, and CAM350. Skilled in using and understanding measurement devices and tools such as oscilloscopes, audio analyzers, multimeters, and soldering irons. Constantly staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends in electronic hardware. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Operating in an international environment, bilingualism in French and English is required.
