Job Description

The Handyperson is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance, installation, and repair tasks in our commercial settings to ensure areas are well-maintained and in good working order.

What you'll do



General Repairs:

Conduct minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems.

Cleaning:

General day to day cleaning of the weld shop, lunchroom and buying coffee supplies.

Property Maintenance:

Perform routine cleaning of gutters, windows, and pavement.

Equipment Operation:

Safely operate hand and power tools, industrial vacuums, and other equipment.

Safety & Compliance:

Identify potential hazards, ensure safety measures are in place, and comply with relevant codes and regulations.

Inventory & Supplies:

Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.

Support:

Assist skilled trade workers (electricians, plumbers) as needed.

Basic qualifications



Experience:

At least 1-3 years of experience in general maintenance or a related technical field.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Tool Proficiency:

Skilled in using various hand and power tools.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift heavy items, stand, bend, twist, and work from ladders.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, excellent communication, and a positive attitude.

Working Conditions



May involve working indoors or outdoors. Requires physical labour, including lifting and repetitive motions. May involve irregular hours.

Pay and Benefits:
