Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks across our manufacturing facility. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical knowledge, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations. The Handy Man will play a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facility, supporting ongoing production and operational excellence.

Duties



Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics and technical manuals Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and system adjustments Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders and maintenance activities Lead small teams or supervise maintenance projects to ensure timely completion Conduct facilities inspections to identify potential hazards or repair needs Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades following safety standards and schematics Provide excellent customer service to internal departments by addressing maintenance requests promptly

Requirements



Proven supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, electrical systems, and general repairs Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation Experience using CMMS software for maintenance management Knowledge of manufacturing processes and facilities maintenance best practices Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise technicians or contractors when needed Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges

Pay: $20.00-$49.19 per hour
