At AVS Hospitality, we specialize in property management with a focus on maintaining safe, comfortable, and functional living environments. We are currently seeking a skilled

General Handyman

to support the ongoing maintenance of a newly renovated multi-unit residential building.

This is a part-time, on-call position ideal for a versatile and experienced tradesperson. The role is hands-on and requires a reliable professional who can independently handle a variety of maintenance tasks--ranging from drywall and painting to electrical and plumbing work.

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

Carry out a wide range of repairs including

drywall patching, painting, minor plumbing, electrical fixes, and other routine handyman work

to maintain unit and building integrity.

On-Call Support

Be available on an as-needed basis to respond to urgent maintenance requests, with flexibility for occasional after-hours needs.

Proactive Inspections

Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the property to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

Tool-Ready Work

Utilize your own tools to complete jobs efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.

Basic Documentation

Keep simple records of work completed to support property maintenance tracking and planning.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in general building maintenance, handyman services, or trades work (e.g., drywall, electrical, plumbing, painting). Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance calls. Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation. Familiarity with residential rental buildings and typical unit/building maintenance needs.
