Mayfair Properties is a local real estate company that owns and operates hotels, residential apartment buildings as well as commercial buildings.

The company was founded more than 30 years ago and still operates with the same value instilled by the owner: honesty, integrity and loyalty. We like to think of ourselves as a family.

The company has been growing it's residential portfolio in the last few years and is in need of a full time Cleaner and Handyperson to work at different properties.

The selected candidate will be taking care of small in-suite repairs and ensuring the exterior of the buildings is clean in order to maintain curb appeal. They will also be required to maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of interior common areas and hallways for two residential buildings, including tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining restrooms.

This position will report to our Chief Engineer (great guy) and will work under the supervision of the Building Managers (all nice people).

This position requires a person who is organized and can prioritize. The ideal candidate also needs to be able to work unsupervised. If you like diversity and not always working in the same environment, thrive on learning new things and experimenting, this may be a good fit for you.

Responsibilities:

Investigating and performing applicable repairs in residential units as per instructions from the Building Manager and/or Chief Engineer.

Performing routine cleaning and upkeep of common areas and building amenities for two residential properties, including mopping, vacuuming, and restroom care.

Professionally communicate with tenants and co-workers

Skills that would be nice to have:

Basic electrical (i.e. replacing existing light fixtures, existing switches, receptacles and electrical outlets, etc.);

Basic plumbing (i.e. faucet repair/ replacement, toilet repair/replacement, pipe insulation, re-caulking etc.);

Basic carpentry (i.e. drywall repairs, painting, door repairs, existing cabinetry repairs, etc.);

Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication in English;

Clean, friendly and professional attitude and appearance;

Excellent self-management and time management skills;

Adherence to strict confidentiality and privacy protocols;

The ability to take the initiative and make independent decisions when needed.

Additional Requirements:

Valid driver's license;

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
