We are seeking a skilled and passionate Halwai / Indian Sweet Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a particular focus on traditional Indian sweets. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Halwai will be responsible for creating high-quality sweets that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook various traditional Indian sweets, ensuring authenticity and quality. Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair to enhance presentation. Assist in food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing batters. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety protocols. Package sweets for sale, ensuring proper handling and presentation. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and taking special orders as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.

Qualifications

Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or sweet making. Strong skills in cake decorating and food preparation techniques. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards. A passion for cooking and creating delicious desserts that reflect cultural traditions.
