Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be creative and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. You must have a valid NB cosmetology license.

If you are a friendly and outgoing team oriented self starter we are offering a unique commission opportunity with a captive audience to grow your clientele without having to work evenings or weekends. You must work Monday through Friday 9-4. Located in the newly renovated Student Union Building at the heart of UNB/STU/NBCC campus with thousands of students waiting to meet you!

Responsibilities

Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, and styling to meet client needs and preferences. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired looks and offer professional advice on styles and products. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist with duties such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling inquiries. Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling techniques and products to provide clients with informed recommendations. Build lasting relationships with clients through excellent customer service, ensuring their satisfaction with every visit.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients. Excellent customer service skills to create a positive salon experience for all clients. Knowledge of hair styling techniques, products, and trends is essential. Familiarity with sanitation practices in accordance with industry standards. A valid NB cosmetology license is required.
