Job Description

Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate Experience: Experience an asset Cosmetology/cosmetologist, general Barbering/barber Hair styling/stylist and hair design

Tasks

Analyze hair and scalp condition Provide custom hair and scalp treatment Shampoo customers' hair Supervise other hair stylists and other staff Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences Provide job training and support Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment Teach interest or professional development courses Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with such matters as job readiness skills, job search strategies, writing resumes and preparing for job interviews Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings, entry and skill requirements and other occupational information
