Position Overview



Rise Gymnastics Academy is seeking an experienced and motivated

Program Director & Competitive Coach

to oversee the planning, development, and daily operations of our competitive gymnastics programs. This is a leadership role for a coach who thrives on both high-level athlete development and team management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the training culture, mentoring coaches, and ensuring that our programs reflect the highest standards of excellence, safety, and athlete well-being.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the planning, organization, and supervision of

Women's and/or Men's Artistic Gymnastics competitive programs

(CCP, Xcel, and pre-competitive). Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized training plans that align with Gymnastics Canada's LTAD framework. Coach competitive athletes directly, fostering technical excellence, confidence, and strong work ethic. Mentor and support other coaches through collaboration, goal setting, and professional growth. Coordinate competitive schedules, events, and athlete assessments. Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and management to ensure transparency and positive relationships. Uphold Safe Sport principles and ensure compliance with Gymnastics BC and NCCP standards. Contribute to program expansion, recruitment, and strategic planning as Rise continues to grow. Collaborate with the Head Coach and management team to develop consistent club-wide philosophies, evaluation systems, and athlete pathways.

Qualifications



Minimum

NCCP Level 3 certification

(Level 4 or in progress preferred). 5+ years of coaching experience, including leadership or program management roles. Proven success in developing competitive athletes (provincial, national, or elite levels). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Comprehensive understanding of technical progressions and athlete development principles. Valid

Respect in Sport

Safe Sport

, and

First Aid/CPR

certifications. Experience with Gymnastics BC regulations, competition preparation, and athlete monitoring tools. Positive, team-oriented mindset and passion for mentorship and excellence.
