Eleven Revelstoke Lodge, located in the heart of downtown Revelstoke, BC, is also home to the Quartermaster Eatery and Kingfisher Heli-Skiing. We offer exceptional lodging, fine dining, and private small group heli-skiing in the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains. Position Summary



Kingfisher Heliskiing seeks passionate, professional Guides to join our team. This role requires an aspirant Ski or Mountain Guide with growing technical and exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of mechanized ski-guiding experience. Eleven is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive and contribute to our mission of delivering world-class mountain experiences. This is a full-time, seasonal position earning a daily wage between $350 and $400 plus gratuity, depending on experience, qualifications, and services offered.



Position Purpose



The Guide supports daily operational oversight of a single heli-ski group. This includes active participation in AM and PM meetings, pre-flight logistical preparation, field management of the heli-ski group, and post-trip coordination with the hospitality team. Guides are accountable for risk management, guest satisfaction, and support of other guides and staff involved in heli-ski operations.



Leadership and Operations


Support daily operational oversight of a heli-ski group Active participation morning and evening team meetings Support pre-flight logistical preparation and post-trip coordination Mentored Lead Guiding under the supervision of a Lead Guide Leadership and mentoring of junior staff Collaborate with aviation teams on operational decisions Coordinate with hospitality teams to ensure seamless guest experiences

Safety and Risk Management


Collaborate with Lead Guides to support risk management of heli-ski operations Conduct helicopter and avalanche safety briefings. Maintain situational and operational awareness Support emergent and non-emergent incidents, including avalanche, medical, and technical rescue scenarios. Manage the incident until a senior guide can assume command. Ensure compliance with internal protocols, HeliCat Canada (HCC) guidelines, and relevant guiding scopes of practice

Guest Experience and Communication


Plan and deliver exceptional guest experiences Maintain proactive communication with guests and guide teams Monitor all radio and electronic communications Provide real-time and daily reporting

Documentation andAdministration


Collect and record daily weather, snowpack, and avalanche observations Support daily record-keeping and operational documentation Maintain detailed knowledge of rescue and fueling resources

Training and Development


Participate in pre-season and ongoing training initiatives Participate in professional development programs Contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices

Qualifications



Certifications and Training


ACMG Assistant Ski Guide, CSGA Level 2, or equivalent CAA Avalanche Operations Level 1 or equivalent Current 80-hour first aid certificate

Experience and Skills


Minimum of 5 years of mechanized ski guiding experience Weather and avalanche forecasting skills commensurate with the relevant Scope of Practice Risk management skills commensurate with the relevant Scope of Practice Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills

Special Position Requirements


Strong work ethic, teamwork, and dynamic decision-making skills High-level self and social awareness Guiding in complex avalanche terrain Helicopter operations Rescue operations

Preferences


Professional avalanche forecasting and/or mitigation experience Geographically diverse work experience Experience working with high-end clientele Revelstoke residency from November through April

Work Requirements


Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or work visa Expert skiing or snowboarding skills Ability to work all day in extreme winter weather environments * Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
