Guest Services Receptionist
-- a customer-focused, detail-loving team player who thrives in a fast-paced, pet-friendly workplace.
What You'll Do
As a Guest Services Receptionist, you'll be the first friendly face (and voice!) that clients interact with. You'll play a vital role in helping both people and pets have the best possible experience with us. Your day will include a mix of customer service, admin coordination, pet check-ins, and retail support.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Communication
Greet every client and pet with warmth and professionalism
Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and helpfully
Learn client and pet names and create memorable service experiences
Give tours of our facility to potential customers
Address client concerns and support issue resolution in a professional way
Reservations & Billing
Book appointments and enter client details into our point-of-sale system
Process payments, invoices, and track pending bills
Balance the till daily
Pet Check-in & Out
Ensure all care instructions, services, and pet needs are clearly documented
Coordinate with staff on grooming, daycare, lodging, and training services
Confirm vaccinations and paperwork are complete and up to date
Retail & Inventory
Assist with sales of pet products and services
Keep retail displays neat, stocked, and engaging
Track and input inventory into our system
Admin Support & Projects
Prepare reports, paperwork, and client files
Help with client communications and promotional material
Support management with data entry, inventory tracking, and small projects
Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and front-of-house areas
What We're Looking For
High school graduate preferred
2+ years in customer service, retail, or receptionist roles
Friendly, proactive, and professional communicator (written & verbal)
Strong computer and typing skills (POS experience a plus)
Great with multitasking and detail-oriented under pressure
Team player with a flexible schedule --
available for a mix of early (7:30 AM), mid-day, evening (until 7 PM), and occasional split shifts
Comfortable with pets of all sizes and energy levels
Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stay on your feet during shifts
