What You'll Be Doing




Greet, check-in, and check-out guests with professionalism and a smile Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with care and efficiency Make and adjust reservations in our PMS system with accuracy and attention to detail Use up-selling techniques to maximize occupancy and revenue opportunities Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area Act as a team player, assisting coworkers and supporting other departments when needed Ensure compliance with hotel standards, safety procedures, and front office SOPs Be an ambassador for the community -- providing local knowledge, directions, and recommendations to guests

? What We're Looking For

Hospitality heart

- friendly, professional, and guest-focused at all times

Education

- High school diploma required; post-secondary or hospitality training is an asset

Experience

- 1-2 years in hospitality preferred; experience with PMS/POS systems is an asset

Communication skills

- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong telephone and computer skills

Interpersonal skills

- Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solution-focused

Team spirit

- Able to balance individual tasks while contributing to a positive, supportive team environment

Community minded

- Knowledge of the local area and enthusiasm for sharing it with guests

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Typically long periods of sitting, with some standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping Occasionally lifting 5-10 lbs Extended periods of computer use Office setting with:

+ Low-to-medium noise levels
+ High traffic from internal and external guests
+ Exposure to office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, and telephones
Potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests
