We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities

Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions quickly and efficiently Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity Maintain knowledge of store products to assist with product demos and upselling opportunities Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to ensure attractive presentation Conduct product demos when appropriate to promote items and increase sales Enforce phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone or in person Support supervising staff with daily tasks as needed, including training new team members Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales opportunities

Experience

Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in fast-paced settings Knowledge of merchandising, upselling techniques, and product demos will be beneficial

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
