Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Front Desk Agent is the guest experience representative for arrival & departure services (check-in/check-out), concierge services & direct-to-hotel reservation calls. The ideal candidate will be punctual and professional, with previous experience taking calls to handle customer issues and requests.
THE CANDIDATE MUST BE IN AND LEGALLY ENTITLED TO WORK IN CANADA.
Responsibilities:
Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimum supervision
Act as an ambassador for the hotel, focusing on superior guest services.
Must have the ability to perform various hours and shifts.
Take, cancel, and change room reservations.
Being bilingual ( French/English) is an asset
Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and check out guests.
Process group arrivals and departures.
Accurately process guests' withdrawals and payments.
Post charges to guest rooms and meeting rooms.
Balance cash float and daily cashier reports.
Act as a concierge, providing information to guests about hotel facilities, services, and points of interest in the area.
Provide night audit relief.
Other hotel-related duties as assigned.
Follow emergency and safety procedures.
30-40 hours per week.
Previous front desk experience is an asset. Answer incoming calls etc.
Welcome customers, answer their questions and schedule appointments.
Answer emails and respond to questions.
Communicate with various departments.
