This historic Cape Breton resort, Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa, is located in the heart of Cape Breton Highlands National Park overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Just 2 hours from Sydney, NS and a 5 hour drive from Halifax, the resort has been welcoming guests to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia since July 1940.
Position Summary:
The Keltic Lodge in the Cape Breton Highlands is seeking positive minded friendly people who can deliver excellent customer service and enhance the experience of our guests while they stay at the Keltic Lodge. You will be responsible for greeting Guest, checking them in and checking them out, making recommendations about things to do around the area and answering questions on our services and amenities.
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of experience in front desk
Valid drivers license
Eligible to work in Canada
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
Ensure the smooth check in and check out of all guests providing superior service.
Accommodate the requests and needs of all guests, make recommendations, upsell rooms and related services.
Proactively communicate any guest complaints to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
Answer and direct incoming calls from inside and outside the hotel.
Dispatch requests to the appropriate department.
Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress
Balance all cash, check and credit card accounts through verification
Physical Requirements:
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning
Ability to walk long distances

Oral and Written Comprehension and Expression - Must be able to convey & understand information and ideas in English
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
