Title: GTAC-INFRA Senior Technical Specialist

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION

The duties of the Senior Technical Specialist are to apply, on a non-exclusive basis:

\xc2\xb7 Troubleshooting hardware and software problems on infrastructure systems

\xc2\xb7 Responsible of maintenances, configuration, backups, documenting procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Upgrading, Integrating and modifying system and infrastructure in areas such as Operating Systems, virtualized environments, system monitoring and security, software installation and configurations.

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining assessment and evaluation documentation and record.

\xc2\xb7 Analyzing requirements and participate to design systems.

\xc2\xb7 Provide technical expertise & support.

QUALIFICATIONS

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or Diploma of collegial studies (in telecommunications or computer science) with related experience.

\xc2\xb7 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in System Administration as Tier-3 support.

\xc2\xb7 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with virtualization, AWS, WMWare, RHEV.

\xc2\xb7 Experience with shell scripting, python and automation tools, Ansible or equivalent.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ELK stack and components such as Watcher.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Zabbix is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Working Knowledge of message queuing system such as RabbitMQ is a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Working Knowledge of Database system such as MongoDB, REDIS, Oracle, MySQL a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills and team player.

\xc2\xb7 Good level of network security

\xc2\xb7 AWS Cloud or VMware or RedHat computing is an advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Very good judgment

\xc2\xb7 Very good technical background to interface with equipment vendors

\xc2\xb7 Very good knowledge of spoken/written English.
