WHAT YOU\'LL DO

The Knowledge@BCG (K@BCG) Finance Analyst role is with the Global Specialty Businesses (GSB) Finance Team. Key aspects of the role include:

Directly report into the GSB Finance Manager and Director in supporting the Knowledge Team (KT)

Performing analysis to inform/support business decisions for the Knowledge Team and Knowledge@BCG on a broader scale

Perform K@BCG related operational and financial tasks, analysis and reporting as required - routine as well as ad-hoc/strategic projects

Key contributor to the Knowledge plan/budget processes

Build and maintain various Excel-based operational and financial models

Work with the systems group, HR, Recruiting, Finance, and other functions and assist with implementation of Knowledge initiatives

Provide decision support by bringing thoughtful solutions to data requests

Be a thought partner to the GSB business partners, GSB Finance Director, Global Office Leaders, Global Business Management Directors, Global Analysis, and local and regional finance teams

Support global, regional, and local finance initiatives

Prepare insightful materials for the GSB LT meetings to support decision making

Support finance transformations and be a thought partner on the impact to the GSBs

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

BS Business, Finance, or related field

2-4 years relevant work experience, ideally in a professional services or similar role

Prior experience at BCG a plus

Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to accurately execute on reporting and operations tasks

Strong analytical skills; ability to think strategically as well as tactically (big picture/small picture) as needed

Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, conditional formulas, vlookup etc., and ability to enhance and maintain spreadsheets and databases

Exposure to Alteryx and Tableau

Exposure to HFM & SAP Business Objects or other similar system (financial, HR , management reporting system) query tools is a plus

Strong PowerPoint skills (including graphics and charts)

Strong communication (written/verbal) and coordination skills

High level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness and patience

Flexibility; ability to work with/easily adapt to changing priorities

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to multi-task on different projects under tight time frames

Work experience in a global or multi-national environment is a plus

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, willingness to pitch in and help out whenever needed and proven ability to cooperate with people at all levels and across multiple languages / cultural differences, building positive, lasting relationships

YOU\'RE GOOD AT

Financial Planning and Analysis

Support the GSB planning process and estimate submissions including revenue targets, pyramid / capacity modeling, compensation, cost management, launching of new products / services, launching in new regions / countries

Support multiple pricing and economic models

Coordinate pyramid and compensation analysis with cross-functional teams (talent acquisition, management teams, HR, finance)

Support the production and analysis for annual operational budgets and forecasts in accordance with regional and global guidelines, business trends and management

Improve processes continuously and bring new insights and efficiencies into planning and reporting

Decision Support

Bring solutions to complex data and information requests and assist GSB business leaders in running the business

Manage investment tracking & budgeting process (both revenues & costs)

Execute, review, and develop key business metrics and make recommendations where needed to GSB leadership and finance leadership

Support various ad hoc special projects as needed

Other Responsibilities

Maintenance, tracking and reporting of large data sets

Ability to synthesize data and draw conclusions

Coordination and execution of operational tasks and projects

BCG\'s Global Specialty Businesses (GSB) are fast-growing, ever-evolving consisting of Knowledge Teams, Design Studios, Survey Operations, Data and Research Services, Case Team Services, and Language Services. The GSB Finance Team provides business leadership with analysis and reporting to make informed strategic decision making on running, growing, and improving the businesses. In addition, the team also provides exemplary finance decision support to several hundred global staff.

We also partner with colleagues across BCG\'s worldwide operations and the firm\'s corporate office. As a result, members of the team receive significant exposure to the overall business and develop networks and working relationships across the organization.
