Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing Autism & Behaviour Services, Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Developmental Services, Youth Services, Adult Counselling Services, and several Early Learning Intervention & Care services including EarlyON Child & Family Centres and the Community Action Program for Children.

H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand-Norfolk Child & Youth Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children's services.

Partner Assault Response Program (PAR)

Full-time (35 hrs/wk), Permanent, Salaried

PAR provides psychoeducational group programming for adult individuals charged with domestic assault. Haldimand-Norfolk R.E.A.C.H. is seeking an experienced individual to coordinate and facilitate PAR programming for individuals, as outlined in the Ministry of Attorney General PAR Program Standards.

Responsibilities

Review referrals, complete intakes, and determine program eligibility Plan and co-facilitate weekly group-based programming Monitor and evaluate the participation and progress of group attendees and address needs as appropriate Provide guidance to casual Group Services Workers Contact, consult, and liaise with justice partners and community agencies Identify risk factors and respond to crisis situations Prepare court required documentation and statistical data Assist program manager in creating annual work plan.

Qualifications

College Diploma (Social Services) or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from a University of recognized standing, or an acceptable equivalent Experience working with victims and/or offenders of domestic violence and knowledge of justice system processes related to domestic violence A minimum of three years' experience facilitating groups, with a background in both in-person and virtual formats Demonstrated understanding of intimate partner violence, including the dynamics of violence and abuse, power and control, gender roles, socialization, and effects of abuse on women and children Proven success in designing and implementing adult-focused learning strategies Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with knowledge of community resources Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check, Children's Aid Society Declaration/Release Possession of a valid driver's licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, satisfactory Driver Abstract, and use of a vehicle.
