Job Description

We are seeking an energetic individual to join our team to share their skills to support people with brain injuries through a position of group program facilitation.

The candidate will have successful recent experience facilitating education and recreational group programs. The goal of these programs will be to increase skill development and offer opportunities for supported independence. The worker will model appropriate social skills with confidence within client groups and foster healthy social interactions for people experiencing a range of Brain Injury effects.

The individual will provide groups facilitation to cover topics that include: problem solving and assist clients with making and keeping appointments, budgeting and financial management, community integration, home management tasks to increase their self-determination to achieve their supported goals.

Qualifications

: Post-secondary education with a Mental Health Worker Certificate or Human Service Worker Diploma, other related discipline or equivalent skills and abilities. A minimum of two years previous experience facilitating groups and working with people living with diverse abilities will be an asset. Strong computer skills needed including the capacity of teaching virtual platform uses to clients.

Other Requirements

: Reliable personal transportation, a good driving record and a class 5 driver's license, as driving is a requirement; first aid certificate; criminal record check; computer literacy; excellent written and spoken English; good interpersonal skills.

$26.75 depending on experience.
