Department Overview
Business Banking consists of four lines of business: Commercial Banking, Small Business Banking, Merchant Solutions and TD Auto Finance. Business Banking Finance supports the development and achievement of the "Quest" - the journey to being the #1 Business Bank in Canada - by providing proactive analysis, expertise and advice to our partners relating to all financial matters. The Business Banking Finance team works closely with the business and TDBG\'s centralized financial areas of expertise (e.g., Chief Accountant\'s Group, Enterprise Decision Support, Finance Shared Services, etc. ) to provide quality guidance and advice consistent with overall TDBG\'s financial strategy and objectives.

This position requires excellent management skills coupled with strong business acumen and experience with management reporting and forecasting. Education and Accreditation

Job Details
The Group Manager, Finance, Commercial Banking reports to the AVP Finance, Commercial Banking, and leads a team of 3 Senior Analysts. This role is responsible for end-to-end P&L Management of the Commercial Loans and Deposits book including forecasting, reporting, planning as well as to provide insightful analysis and recommendations for Commercial Banking and specialized services
Specific tasks include:
Subject matter expertise and ownership of the revenue and lending portfolio reporting and forecasting processes Commercial Banking\'s Loan and Deposit book. Ensure the timely delivery of value-add monthly reporting and forecast materials, including presenting to both the business and Finance
Lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial models and methodologies, reporting dashboards, and frameworks to support ongoing reporting, forecasting and ad-hoc needs
Provide decision-making support to the business on key projects and initiatives, ensuring the appropriate financial and accounting considerations are represented, and engaging other stakeholders as required (e.g., Chiefs, FinOps, TBSM, Risk Management, other segment Finance teams).
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify potential P&L opportunities and risks, and offer well supported recommendations and challenge to the business
Provide thought leadership and support to other team members across Commercial banking and Business Banking Finance, and develop and maintain deep relationships with key business partners and other stakeholders across Commercial and Business Banking, CAD Retail Finance and FinOps, TBSM, and Risk Management
Maintain industry, external and internal business awareness, recognizing and anticipating trends, identifying issues and opportunities, and recommending actions
