We are hiring a Principal Consultant, Biomass Conversions to join our dynamic and diverse team and be central to our growth strategy.

The candidate will provide specialist consulting advice to clients. They will have in-depth estimating experience. The ideal candidate will oversee the consulting engagements and business development functions for Advisian Fuels and Chemicals for our Middle East clients.

The primary job function is portfolio management, business development from early conversations to proposal generation and supply technical and project management expertise in support ongoing consulting engagements and sales opportunities.

The candidate will oversee the consulting engagements and business development functions for Advisian ECR with emphasis on developing and growing a business around assisting clients interested in converting biomass to fuels and chemicals.

The primary job function is building a consultancy-based business around biomass conversions including business development, study/project execution, and developing consulting -level expertise and capabilities for biomass with Advisian ECR.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead proposal business development and consulting engagements for Biomass consulting services.
  • Work with Worley and Advisian\xe2\x80\x99s customer leads to sell our biomass conversion expertise.
  • Develop and/ or hire the technical expertise to deliver value in our biomass conversion consulting engagements.
  • Work with our renewable fuels and low carbon teams to incorporate biomass conversions into our overall sustainability growth strategy.
  • Accountable to Advisian Americas leadership to grow and develop a consulting business centered around biomass conversion.
Experience and Qualifications:

The candidates must demonstrate competency and experience in the following:
  • Portfolio growth in \xe2\x80\x98sell-do\xe2\x80\x99 model.
  • Strong self-starter and motivated to succeed.
  • Proven history of managing multi-disciplinary projects either as an owner or a contractor/consultant
  • Ability to manage deliverables for multiple projects at the same time.
  • Experience and knowledge of process design and technologies to convert biomass to fuels and chemicals.
  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving, optimization, and analysis mindset.
  • Ability to interface at leadership levels within client organization.
  • Understanding of project development from concept generation, feasibility analysis, design basis, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design and construction.
  • Working knowledge of the technologies, Process Design, Cost Estimation, facilities and equipment to convert biomass to fuels and chemicals..
  • Supportive Leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to produce concise reports and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Chemical Engineering degree or similar technical degree \xe2\x80\x93 MBA desired
  • 15+ years of relevant consulting or engineering experience
  • Preferred experience working for owner/operators involved in biomass conversion and or licensors of biomass conversion technologies.
  • Preferred to have developed relationships with potential clients
  • Preferred to be local to one of our main offices in Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Calgary or Toronto.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Able to grow and develop technical talent and effectively manage people.
  • Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally
