In this role you will:
oversee the daily administration and operation of court offices
provide group leadership and technical guidance/advice to in-court and administrative staff Superior Court of Justice (SCJ), and Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ)
provide guidance and information to public and legal profession on routine procedural questions and administrative processes relative to court operations
provide administrative/back-up support to the manager

This position is part-time for hours scheduled on weekends and statutory holidays. You will be working 24 hours per week.

You have:
demonstrated leadership skills to generate teamwork, address issues, and provide orientation and training to staff to ensure support for the daily operations of the court
demonstrated organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills to schedule staff to work assignments, and ensure timelines are met in a high volume work environment

Computer and math skills
You have:
the ability to effectively use technology and support staff in the delivery of services using technology (e.g. MS Teams, ZOOM)
the ability to use a personal computer and related software (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, ICON, WIN)
the ability to keyboard, use software to track data and produce workload/ scheduling reports and spreadsheets in a timely manner
math and analytical skills required to work with, interpret and reconcile statistical data within specific timeframes

Court and asset inventory management knowledge
You have:
the ability to interpret and apply the statutory requirements, legislation (i.e. Courts of Justice Act, Criminal Code of Canada, Youth Criminal Justice Act), policies, procedures, and practices of a court operation
knowledge of court traditions and understanding the reasons, requirements and importance for court protocol
knowledge of asset inventory management procedures, bookkeeping requirements and financial/cash controls

You have:
demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with, and provide information and procedural guidance to, stakeholders such as judiciary, crowns, general public, legal profession and staff
