Residential Care Worker - Full-Time Night Shift

Location:

Nanaimo, BC

Starting Wage:

$25.95/hr (increases per HEU Collective Agreement)

Shift:

Night (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM), 4-on / 2-off rotation

Priority will be given to applicants who are eligible to work in Canada for at least 2 years. Strong fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Job Summary

As a

Residential Care Worker

, you will:

Provide personal support and care for clients in all aspects of physical, medical, emotional, social, and cultural needs. Support individuals with developmental disabilities and physical challenges in a safe and comfortable manner. Maintain positive communication with co-workers, managers, and community professionals. Work collaboratively as part of a health care support team. Ensure the upkeep of the household, property, and vehicles for a safe environment.
Requirements

19 years of age or older Education or experience in health care, community support, or as a personal support worker (PSW) (asset) Current First Aid certificate with CPR Clean criminal record check (employer-paid upon hire) Recent TB test (within two years) Hepatitis B inoculations (or waiver provided)
