Overview

Fairwinds Wellness Centre is searching for more instructors to help deliver our lineup of classes that include Yoga, Strength, HIIT, Aquacize, and Stretch. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various and or specific fitness disciplines and a commitment to helping clients achieve their health and wellness goals. As a Fitness Instructor, you will lead engaging classes, provide personalized training, and foster a supportive environment for all fitness levels.

Duties

Conduct group fitness classes including but not limited to Spin, Stretch, Yoga, Strength, Aquacize, Dance and HIIT. Develop and implement personalized training programs tailored to individual client needs. Provide instruction on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to educate clients on the benefits of various exercises. Engage with clients to motivate them and enhance their fitness experience. Maintain a clean and organized gym environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Participate in health club events and promotional activities to drive fitness sales. Stay updated on the latest fitness trends and techniques through continuous education.

Qualifications

Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction is mandatory. Instructors must have their own insurance. (Often provided with Certification) Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and program design. Experience in teaching various fitness modalities such as spin, yoga, strength / HIIT or dancing is highly desirable. Background in sports coaching or related fields is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. Previous experience in a health club or gym setting is advantageous. Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 8 per week
