Position Overview
:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and effective fitness classes for participants of varying skill levels. The ideal candidate will bring energy, expertise, and a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
: (Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Strengths)
Plan and execute group fitness classes, incorporating a variety of exercises and techniques to accommodate diverse skill levels.
Provide clear, professional, and motivating instructions to participants.
Demonstrate proper form and technique, ensuring participant safety and effective workouts.
Modify exercises for individuals with varying needs, including beginners, advanced participants, and those with physical limitations.
Build positive relationships with clients, encouraging them to pursue their fitness goals.
Set up and clean fitness equipment before and after classes as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, certifications, and new fitness techniques.
Promote and uphold the values of
Wellness Within
, including inclusivity, professionalism, and a commitment to client wellness.
Early Morning classes 6am, Evening after 4pm, Weekend classes.
Qualifications
:
Certification in Group Fitness Instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, Canfitpro, NPCP, YA, etc.).
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Proven experience leading group fitness classes (eg. Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Strengths)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt classes to meet diverse participant needs and energy levels.
Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping others succeed.
Knowledge of anatomy and injury prevention.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with specialized classes (e.g. Mat Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Strengths)
