Nature & Scope
The Group Fitness Instructor - (AquaFit, Aqua Zumba) will be responsible for the coordination and direct delivery of all group fitness classes.
This position is part-time position with a flexible schedule based on programming needs. This may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends with an emphasis on Group Fitness, program reviews and the provision of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Direct delivery of (Aquafit, Aqua Zumba) fitness classes, modeling service excellence in assigned program areas;
Interaction with members developing positive relationships and addressing concerns or questions;
Maintain relevant certifications;
Required to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends, evenings, holidays and early mornings;
Attend scheduled training events at outlined training wage.
Qualifications:
At least six (06) months of relevant experience in teaching group fitness classes, i.e, AquaFit.
Excellent customer service skills with ability to build strong relationships and represent the association professionally in interactions with internal stakeholders and/or external communities.
Valid certification in Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
Valid Group Fitness Certifications and/or License such as YMCA Group fitness or equivalent.
