The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating successful group bookings across all Gibbons businesses. This includes nine F&B venues, The Adventure Group, Adara Hotel, The Spa at Whistler, and Gibbons Festival & Events. Your role includes communicating rates, managing contracts, and ensuring flawless experience execution. This is a hybrid role of in person and remote work, but majority of time will be spent between the Gibbons Whistler Head Office, Customer F2F, The Adara Hotel, and The Adventure Group Base Camp.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to group inquiries, determine requirements, and create custom packages.
Lead site visits, oversee group reservations from start to finish, and ensure successful event execution.
Participate in sales development.
Work with the Revenue team to establish connections with new destination management companies and maintain and nurture existing relationships.
Handle client concerns in consultation with the Experience Manager.
Attend weekly Sales & Marketing meetings.
Attend training and strategy meetings as required.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all product offerings within Gibbons.
What you bring:
Experience in travel, tourism, and F&B industries.
Experience in pitching, contracting, and executing group bookings and events.
Confidence in conducting outreach initiatives.
Proficiency in CRM software, digital communication, and contracting tools.
Effective communication, presentation, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills with great attention to detail.
A confident and dynamic personality aligned with the Gibbons Whistler brand.
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule for events and special requests.
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
Experience with FareHarbour, Sevenrooms, and Tripleseat is beneficial but not required.
Perks and Compensation:
$45,000 - $55,000 annual wage based on experience.
