Groundskeeper - Full time - Permanent Position

Reporting directly to the Property/Resident Manager the Groundskeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds and exterior common areas of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that litter is removed from the grounds and exterior common areas on a daily basis. Sweeps and removes litter from parking areas, driveways and walkways. Ensures that grass is mowed, trimmed and fertilized on a regular and timely basis and that weeds are properly controlled. Maintains shrubbery and flower beds in a well-groomed condition. Prunes and /or removes trees, as required. Ensures that all grounds keeping equipment is adequately maintained and operational. Maintains an adequate level of grounds keeping supplies and materials and advises the Property/Resident Manager, in advance, when supplies are required. Performs seasonal grounds keeping functions as required, including the regular watering of grass, flower beds and shrubbery and the planting and removal of plant material during the spring and fall. Maintains outdoor pool facilities, including chemical testing, vacuuming, skimming, cleaning of the pool filters and the removal of litter from the pool area. Winter grounds duties to include snow removal / shoveling of sidewalks and entrance ways The successful candidate must possess knowledge in snow removal machinery and other landscaping tools. Performs other duties and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
