Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance, as well as the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Groundskeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting for all visitors.

Duties

Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Plant, irrigate, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of the grounds. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks. Clear debris from walkways, parking lots, and other areas to maintain cleanliness and safety. Assist in seasonal planting and garden design projects as needed. Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair. Collaborate with team members to achieve landscaping goals and maintain high standards of appearance.

Experience

Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required. Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools like lawnmowers and trimmers is essential. A strong understanding of plant care, irrigation techniques, and landscape design principles is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.

Expected hours: 40 per week
