Forklift and GSE Technician

, you'll play a crucial, non-stop role in maintaining the mechanical and electrical integrity of our entire airport fleet. Your work directly ensures the critical uptime required for all airport logistics, serving as the backbone for efficient operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented technician who thrives on troubleshooting complex systems in a demanding environment.

What You'll Do

Diagnostics & Repair:

Perform complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical (AC/DC) repairs on a diverse fleet of equipment, including all classes of forklifts, specialized airport Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and other ground assets.

Preventative Maintenance:

Execute rigorous preventative maintenance (PMs) according to both scheduled intervals and data-driven alerts from our SHIFT AI platform to minimize downtime.

Technology Integration:

Work directly installing equipment that utilizes advanced telematics and sensor technology on ground equipment and forklifts. Utilize diagnostic tools and digital resources to efficiently identify and resolve equipment faults.

Documentation:

Utilize digital work order systems to accurately record diagnostics, time, parts usage, and repair notes for every job, ensuring data integrity for our fleet management system. Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, strictly adhering to all company, FAA, and airport safety regulations (including proper SIDA procedures).

What You Bring

Proven experience (3+ years preferred) as a Forklift Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or a related role. Direct experience with airport GSE is highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, complex electrical/electronic control systems, hydraulics, and drivetrains. Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check required for airport access. Must own a basic set of professional-grade tools. Must be fully willing and able to work assigned shift schedules (including nights, weekends, and holidays) as airport operations run 24/7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with the operations team.
