. This position will be responsible for promoting a safe and positive work environment while managing a team of Ramp Attendants and Leads. Maintaining strong relationships with our airline partners and airport stakeholders is critical. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Ensure the day-to-day ground handling operations for Gander International Airport (YQX) is set up for success Support the ramp as required during vacation / irregular operations, including International diversions, to promote a safe and efficient work culture Manage and promote safety ensuring incidents and hazards are managed in accordance with the company and airline SMS programs Manage assurance through audits and procedural reviews Ensure ground operations training is delivered effectively to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to perform roles safely and efficiently Analyze operational needs and Service Level Agreements while looking for opportunities to create efficiencies Manage relationships with airline partners and the airport stakeholders to ensure we exceed program and contract requirements and represent Allied Aviation's commitment to safety and customer service Promote best practices and ensure company policies and procedures are in place and being followed Provide guidance and leadership that supports team members in their career development Foster an engaging, high-performing work environment that continually demonstrates a commitment to safety, exceptional operational performance, and teamwork Contribute to all aspects of recruiting and onboarding new team members Responsible for supporting/approving BTW payroll as required Ensure administration requirements are completed to a high standard (flight logs, audits, equipment checks, safety inspections and inventory control)

The successful candidate should possess the following capabilities/experience:

Minimum 5 years' aviation ground handling experience with a strong knowledge of cargo handling and de-icing/anti-icing operations for aircraft up to the Airbus 380 and/or Antonov 124 Minimum 2 years' management experience Demonstrate the ability to train and support team members Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Must be able to hold a valid RAIC (Transport Canada security clearance) for airside access Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to support a 24/7 operation with varying shifts that provide the team with support where and when it is needed
