is currently seeking qualified applicants for our

Ground & Cargo Operations Manager

position based in

Goose Bay, NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and mentorship to the Cargo and Ground Team Effectively plan and implement methods and procedures to ensure that all operational requirements are met. Provide effective account management to current client base. Implement, maintain and supervise all safety/security/compliance measures related to people, equipment and facilities within the operation. Ensure all paperwork related to Cargo & Ramp operations is accurate. Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo. Maintain safe operation of warehouse, vehicles and equipment. Scheduling, monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff. Monitoring and measurement of operational objectives. Up to date monitoring and evaluating all departmental staff. Review operational targets and create recommendations and strategies to meet company objectives and budgets. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant work experience in airline operations 2+ years of supervisory/management experience. Post-secondary degree in Business Management would be considered an asset. Knowledgeable of applicable cargo handling and Transport Canada regulations Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, ramp operations and freighter handling is required Experience in enhancing operational efficiency and safety Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Must be detailed and driven with the ability to process information quickly.
