is a locally owned and operated grocery chain on Vancouver Island. Fairway Market's has 9 grocery stores and has been serving Vancouver Island for over 63 years.

Position Summary -

Grocery Supervisor -

Fairway Market is looking for someone who is pro active with innovative new ideas for the company. This person must be a team player and support the store manager run a successful store. The successful candidate must be able to have these qualities:

Skillful communication skills. Strong work ethics. Very organized. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Competent with problem solving - staffing & customers. Efficient with job management. Excellent customer service management.

Experienced in a grocery retail would be an asset but retail experience would be welcomed.

Fairway Markets is looking for team players who enjoys working with the public in a highly customer service driven position while at the same time thriving in a fast pace environment.

Duties:

Managing the resources of the store to maximize results & appearance of the store. Ensuring company policies and government regulations are explained, understood and properly followed by all staff. Managing and resolving customer complaints, questions and/or inquiries. Ensuring that employees work safely and apply the standards required by health and safety procedures. Liaise with the department heads to address any concerns, discuss upcoming ads or promotions, cross merchandising, etc.
General Duties:

Ensure accurate pricing. Ordering Inventory rotation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Compliance with safety and sanitation procedures. Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends. Flexible availability schedule. Provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. Ensure a positive, friendly and supportive work environment. Be a team player within your store location and chain wide. Order products weekly, receive them and check items for accuracy. Create product displays, maintain product displays and rotate product display. Follow and lead by example all company policies, municipal, provincial and federal regulations.

Other assigned duties as they may arise.

Training will be at the Brentwood and Sidney Fairway Market, after training period, position maybe posted to another Fairway Market location. (Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Westshores, Brentwood and Sidney). Please ensure there is transportation for the training period.

Wage is negotiable and compensated based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.85-$21.00 per hour
