Pembina West Co-op is a local community employer with retail locations in Barrhead, Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt, Alberta. Our services include two Food Stores, a Pharmacy with full clinical services, a Liquor Store, three Cardlocks, a Home Centre and Lumber Yard equipped with an extensive feed and agricultural department and a Gas Bar / Convenience Store.

Responsibilities:

The Grocery Supervisor will lead, empower and coach the Grocery team in their day to day duties and responsibilities. As a Supervisor, being a true brand ambassador, with a sound knowledge of Talent Management initiatives and processes will ensure success in this role. The Grocery Supervisor will have a large focus on overall guest experience and will ensure the Grocery team is continually elevating the norm in customer standards.

The Grocery Supervisor must use authority, discretion, and professional judgment within the guidelines of Co-op policies and procedures to resolve any questions, problems, or concerns that may arise. Additional duties include ordering product, inventory counts and daily Grocery housekeeping items both internally and externally.

Requirements:

2 years of previous relevant supervision experience is preferred Several years of related retail sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are preferred Experienced in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook and Excel) Strong organizational and decision-making skills High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment Ability to adapt to new technology Excellent internal and external customer service skills Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on employee engagement

Pay: $45,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
