Job Overview:

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant and close-knit community? NVD is hiring a Grocery Store Clerk for our Carmacks location. This role is essential to ensuring our store remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all customers. You will play a critical part in supporting inventory management, setting up displays, and delivering top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Maintenance & Cleanliness:

Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the store, including tidying aisles, cleaning up spills promptly, and ensuring that products are displayed neatly and correctly.

Inventory Management:

Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing regular inventory counts to ensure that our stock levels are accurate and products are readily available for customers.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, helping them locate products, and offering recommendations as needed.

Display Setup:

Assist with setting up promotional displays, seasonal activities, and special events within the store to enhance the shopping experience.

Adherence to Policies:

Follow all store policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and security, to maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

Opening & Closing:

Participate in opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is ready for operation at the start of the day and secure at the end of the day.

Experience & Qualifications:

Experience:

A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a grocery store or similar retail environment is required.

Education:

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Punctuality & Reliability:

Must be able to consistently show up on time for all scheduled shifts and demonstrate reliability.

Initiative:

Proactive in identifying tasks that need to be done and taking the initiative to complete them without constant supervision.

Job Requirements:

Physical Demands:

Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.

Flexible Schedule:

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Adaptability:

Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as needed by the store.

Wage:

$18.00 per hour
