Grocery Manager - Boundary Consumers Co-op Limited
Killarney, Manitoba

On behalf of our client, Boundary Consumers Co-op, we are currently recruiting for a Grocery Manager at our Food Store in Killarney, Manitoba.
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Grocery Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the Grocery Department, including sales, gross margin and other expense control, department standards, ordering and inventory control, human resources, customer service, administrative duties and department production and merchandising. As the Grocery Manager, you are responsible for:

• Overseeing the development and achievement of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, inventory, expenses and profits.
• Ensuring that all merchandising standards, marketing efforts, employee relations and loss prevention standards are maintained.
• Demonstrating day to day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op\'s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
• Providing leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.
• Providing leadership in the area of employee relations, hiring, training, development, performance management, assigning duties, discipline, recognition, termination, security, administration of policy and procedures, WCB claims and assist with year-end reviews.
• Scheduling department staff to meet production and customer service needs.
• Development of annual budgets, and ensuring that claims, invoices and all other administrative paperwork is done in a timely manner.

You and Your Experience:

• 1 - 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a grocery or retail department
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• You possess leadership qualities and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• You have superior customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• You are an honest, trustworthy, results-oriented individual who strives to be the best in what you do.
• Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
• Ability to fulfill physical job requirements including manual labour.
