We are looking for a Grocery Lead to join us who is just as dedicated as we are in providing exceptional customer service and shares our passion. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day to day ordering and receiving of grocery items in our Langley grocery department.

Although this role is currently part-time, there is potential opportunity to increase the hours to full-time in the future.

Current hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30AM - 5:00PM.

Some of the responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:
? Take direction from Grocery Manager on the day to day functioning of grocery and produce department
? Ensure that departmental goals are met, while adhering to the approved budgets
? Maximize sales and profitability through effective and creative merchandising
? Efficiently stock, rotate and display products in a neat, organized and appealing manner

? Ensure grocery pricing is accurate and up to date in the system
? Order and maintain products assigned on the updated vendor list
? Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and efficient manner
? Comply with Occupational Health and Safety, food safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures
? Build strong relationships with customers and vendors
? Provide additional customer service support and merchandising support as needed
? Online orders being fulfilled
? Ensure inventory is being received properly
? Assist with juice bar as needed

What we are looking for:

At least 1 year of grocery experience Although not required, experience handling produce would be deemed a major asset Previous experience working with and managing budgets Comfortable with technology Understanding of nuances of sourced items Exceptional relationship building skills Is a good listener and driven to educate others

Pay: $18.50-$19.50 per hour
