Overview

Our Grocery Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations in our grocery department. This person will be tasked with focussing on high-quality customer service, product quality control and inventory accuracy. The Grocery Department Supervisor will also be responsible for supervising and coordinating a team of cashiers and grocery department clerks, coordinating their schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies. They are also involved in strategic planning and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing operations within the grocery department Supervise and coordinate a team of grocery department staff and providing them with training and development opportunities. Monitoring inventory levels and ordering stock as required. Addressing and resolving potential issues that may arise, such as customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Assessing product trends and customer requests for new products within the grocery department. Implementing and maintaining store policies and procedures. Working with the Grocery Department Manager, General Manager and Assistant General Manager, setting sales targets and goals for the grocery department and staff, and implementing measures to achieve them Ensuring the store layout and displays are customer-friendly and products are easily accessible.
